Since February 1997, the doors have been open for everyone, irrespective of colour, caste, creed, religion or financial status. The clinic offers a Primary Health Care Facility, all secondary care/treatment and additional specialist care is via the teaching hospitals in Bharatpur, Naraghat and Kathmandu. Outreach camps where we take the Dr's, Nurses and all equipment required (including) Drugs etc to the people, are held at least 12 times a year. These camps range from one day camps to two weeks, with varying specialities: Dental, Medical, Surgical, Gynecological and Obstetrics, Pediatric, Geneva-urinary, Cardiac, Well-man and Well-Woman etc. Over the past 13 years, well over 40,000 people have benefited, the average cost of treating each patient is only 1.

Any patients requiring operations are sent to the specialist for further care, the majority of the cost is borne by The Friendship Clinic Nepal Charity (through donations). Operations can range from 2000 for a heart valve replacement, to 10 for a new lens following a cataract. The arrival of the ambulance in 2008 heralded a new era for the clinic, as a 24-hour emergency service became available for the first time. The use of such a vehicle is crucial to the survival of some patients who need immediate specialist care, such as complications with a birth, to injuries sustained during a rhino or tiger attack! The vehicle is also a fantastic asset and 'work horse' during the numerous outreach clinics.
